I'm born '77 and I come from a big family in Dresden. Here I grew up under the communistic regime of the GDR, but thanks to the alternative upbringing in our family I remained open minded and unprejudiced.

After high school, apprenticeship and civil service I felt the growing dream of different countries and cultures, the dream of an alternative to my overpopulated and bourgeois homeland. Australia seemed to bee far enough away and I felt like I could handle the English language. Although the beginning was hard, my excitement for travelling kept on growing. I saw new worlds opening up, new perspectives and possibilities which I had only dreamed of before.

After 2 1/2 years in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Europe I returned to Germany. Soon I realized that I had not seen enough by far, after the trip meant before the trip. So I started the adventure again, after having worked a few years in Germany.

South America had been my plan for long. Also this trip was going different than expected, I didn't only experience a new world, I also discovered myself new. I met the woman of my dreams. She decided spontaneously to leave her home and to join me on my trip. My point of view of this different new world changed completely, I was right in the middle and involved.

We travelled more in between us than in different countries. Although I am back in Germany now, I'm still out there in my head. I do hope this journey will go on.
